After many influences, I have always thought about my perfect utopia; where my perfect life would be. I could spend hours just visualizing every aspect of my utopia, but it isn’t the same utopia each time. The more I get influence by outer forces, such as entertainment media, that pictures a perfect place to be at, the more my utopia shape shifts and conforms to the new standard. I see a utopia not necessarily an Eden, but more of a place where whoever the “creator” imagines the perfect society. For example, it one of my many rendering of my utopias, I think a world in constant threat is an ideal society. The reason being is simply I would be constantly fighting or doing some other task which would remove boredom. In general, most of my utopias revolve around a world society in which my life is more exciting.
No matter what the utopia is, it would always feel more positive than negative because it’s the creator’s vision and not some other authority. Essentially, creating a utopia would be similar to bringing a world in a dream into reality. Utopias are not necessarily a place where everybody holds hands and sings together, but a place working a way that fits the creator’s view; whether it is peaceful or chaotic. The word chaotic may seem more appropriate for a dystopia, but I see a dystopia is more like bring ill intentions towards the current society while a utopia is cutting away from the current society and envision an entire new one.
A major problem would be that there could not be more than one creator. People always have conflicting views. So, the same would apply to utopias. One person’s utopia may seem like a perfect place for them, but may seem like hell to another. There isn’t a clear cut view of a utopia since there is about infinite possibilities of what a utopia could be. It could be a place where war doesn’t exist, starvation is not an issue, the economy is doing amazing, where there is not government oppression, a society where survival of the fittest is really implemented, etc.
Sources I most likely going to look at would be maybe passages from books or video games that describe a utopia. As always, I would probably scour the net to find an article that may discuss about a utopia. I won’t know until I actually start digging around.

I would suggest interviewing others as well. It may provide more insight on the "why" part for each person.
I think utopia might be a hard word to describe because it is essentially a perfect place and whether you or I descibe it, it will be perfect to us. So utopia is more based on opinion but what might help would be to research different cultures. Maybe each utopia is different to each region and that could help you define it more.
An important example to use could be the book, Utopia, by Sir Thomas More, who was supposed to be the creator of the concept "utopia". If you get a chance, this could be an important source to explain why utopias are thought of and what they could consist of to appeal to more people than just a paradise created by one person, for one person.
An important point could be to describe what a utopia might be without the influences you described above (both external and internal). Also, explaining how utopias are created mainly through describing what would not be in the utopia (boredom, hatred, pain, poverty, ect.).
i think that utopia would be a good word, i would like to see your imagination work and what utopia looks like. Gather information perhaps of what others believe utopia looks like and work your opinion of what you think it looks like. I think its a good topic.
