Rhetorical helping Definition Paper

Completing a rhetorical analysis is helping to write the definition paper because I now know how to appeal to an audience and how unsing only opinions can be fairly ineffective. I will be able to use ethose, pathos and logos in my definition paper but feel that that they would stand out more with a more controversial word like alive. There you could use a Dr's scientific definition, a mother or family members definition (especially when a sibling is on life support, and does it change with the circumstance?), and a legal definition.
