Patriotism

Obama defines patriotism as "love for, and faith in, the American people." He defines it as something that goes deeper than just a pin or a poster. His definition of patriotism is something that is always evident even though it is not always seen. The pictures express patriotism in a different way. They use images of American icons and red, white and blue to show what the meaning of patriotism is.

Patriotism to me is not just flying the flag, or believing in your fellow countrymen. I've always seen patriotism not as just being proud in America, but believing in what the country was built on. My definition of patriotism is that "actions speak louder than words." Patriotism is working hard and never settling for second best. Patriotism is preserving the pride of your name, never quiting, never taking handouts. Patriotism is being courageous when others falter, and always standing for what you believe in. Patriotism is being moral and just in a corrupted society.
