LOVE

The word that I am choosing for the definition argument is love. I am choosing to define love because, to me love is one of the most important things in life. My definition of the word love, is when someone or something matters so much to you that you are willing to put everything on the line, including your life, in order for that person or thing to have whatever is necessary. Love is irrational, and often stupid, but when you loves something nothing else matters to you, except that.I think the word love is way overused in today's society and that is part of the reason that it is so hard to define what love really is. People say they love TV, or video games, or a drink, practically anything that is, is said to be loved by someone and to me that's not really what love is. Love is an action that comes from the heart.

Love is however a very controversial thing. This is because love is taught at a young age and people never really learn what it truly means to be loved. An example of this is a young child who says that they love their parents even though they beat him or her. That is not love, but people do not know how to classify it. Some sources that I could use for my paper as to what love is would be songs or movies. Love is a very popular subject in the world and I think that it would make for an interesting paper.
