Celebrity

We see the glitz and the glamour, the rehab and the mug-shots, the crazy and public lifestyles of celebrities everyday, but who are these people and why do we care? What constitues a celebrity? Is this a broad term or is it reserved for only the most famous of them all?

I think this will be a hard word to define. There are so many different celebrities. I think you also need to look into the subsections of celebrity. For example, Che Guevara is a celebrity in some peoples eyes and a the complete opposite in others.

What is your definition of celebrity? Who would be a celebrity (examples and why they in particular are a celebrity),and who wouldn't be a celebrity (examples and why). An interesting point would to describe what it means to the world that someone is a celebrity and what their lives and their family's lives are like compared to the people that aren't. You could even talk about yourself, and whether you could consider yourself a celebrity, to who and why.

A good word to define because of its many different views. Some celebrities are considered celebrities for no reason at all, which constitutes a great argument. Defining celebrities could be difficult and at the same time very interesting.
