Revision Mania

I think close to 30% of my paper will be completely different than my original draft because I usually have a hard time writing a "good" paper the first time. I have come to find that revision, though sometimes tedious, is more important than many like to admit. I think the reason why it is so important to writing a good paper is because it

allows us as writers to keep our original idea and build off of it. This is important because changing a paper many times would be more time consuming, not to mention our original intent often gets lost in the paper or sometimes thrown out. It must've been last night that Katie revised my paper. Unfourtunately for me, she did a poor job, making my job of writing a paper better than the one before a lot harder. Needless to say, I think it is important that after letting someone else edit your paper, you re-edit their ideas and keep those you like and discard the ones you don't.
